Susanne May

FOUNDER AND CEO

Susanne May, Founder and CEO of May & Company, is an executive coach and expert in global leadership and organizational development, specializing in growth management, large-scale change, digital transformation, and leadership effectiveness. 

 

Susanne partners with global leaders and their executive teams to first understand their unique environments, challenges, and opportunities—then supports to create actionable plans to help them achieve and maintain positive change and impact. During the last 12 years, she has applied her proven, four-step coaching philosophy—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in more the 4500 coaching hours.

Driven by her passion for life-long learning, Susanne was one of the first 20 Certified Executive Coaches designated by the Columbia Business School in 2007. She is certified in a variety of approaches, instruments, and techniques that she draws upon to create customized solutions for her clients. 

 

Prior to her coaching and consulting career, Susanne garnered 15+ years of experience across a wide range of fields including corporate strategy, business development, organizational design, and consulting. During this time, she held senior positions at the DaimlerChrysler Corporation, where she led critical organizational transformations and restructurings such as the introduction of Shared Services, BASEL II, and Sarbanes-Oxley; supported the set-up of an automotive financial services company in China; and several M&A and post-merger initiatives in Asia-Pacific and Europe. 

 

Susanne holds a master’s degree in international relations and management from the University of Konstanz, and has lived in Spain, South Africa, Colombia, Nepal, and Burkina Faso. Susanne works in German and English.
